"Meet Japan 2023" in Binh Duong - Many events held in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Japan

On September 8th, an event series titled "Meeting Japan 2023" took place in Binh Duong province to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023). The events featured a range of meaningful and practical activities.

At the Binh Duong Conference and Exhibition Center (BCEC), the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Committee of Binh Duong province collaborated with the authorities of Yamaguchi prefecture in Japan to organize the "Meet Japan 2023" event., which included the celebration performances, the issuance of investment certificates and construction permits for Japanese enterprises, as well as the signing of cooperation agreements in various fields between Binh Duong and Japanese partners.

The event was attended by Mr. Yamada Takio - the Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam; Mr. Ono Masuo - the Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Van Loi -Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; along with provincial and local leaders, Japanese businesses in the province, and representatives from South East Vietnam's provinces (including Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Long An, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, and Ho Chi Minh City).

On the Japanese side, attendees included Mr. Muraoka Tsugumasa - Governor of Yamaguchi prefecture; Mr. Suzuki Keisuke - Deputy Head of the Research Division of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP); Mr. Sasaki Hajime - Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Policy Committee of Japan; and representatives from various departments and agencies of Yamaguchi prefecture.

Also in the event, BECAMEX TOKYU Co., Ltd was also honored to announce the SORA gardens III condominium project - a part of the urban development project TOKYU Garden City, which the company is currently working on in Binh Duong New City.

Additionally, sideline activities such as the "Binh Duong Women with Japanese Culture" program, cultural exchange programs, Vietnamese-Japanese art and cuisine exchange, Vietnam-Japan youth exchange program, and the "Meet Japan 2023 in TOKYU Garden City" festival all contributed significantly to the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Especially, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations, Binh Duong province also organized a fireworks display in Binh Duong New City, attracting the attention of a large number of residents in the province.

The "Meeting Japan 2023" program is considered an important occasion for localities and investors from both countries to assess and enhance the achievements of their cooperation. It aims to strengthen economic diplomacy, foster mutual understanding, and consolidate the deep and wide-ranging strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the context where the friendly cooperation between Binh Duong province and various Japanese localities has yielded remarkable results, particularly in the fields of healthcare, education, culture, society, and especially in the areas of innovation and smart city development.
