“BDNC Community Festival - Taiwan Market” – Connect the local with the Taiwanese community
Binh Duong New City Community Festival is a new festivity project in Binh Duong New City which is launched with the purpose of connecting the communities of foreigners living and working in Binh Duong. The very first season, called "Taiwan Market", was hosted by BECAMEX TOKYU Co., Ltd. in cooperated with Viet Hoa International School Binh Duong New City BDNC on Sunday, April 17, as an event for Taiwanese community and Taiwan culture lovers to get together and have some fun during the weekend.
The Chinese/Taiwanese community continued to prove their unity spirit when the event got to attract great supports from crowds of families and groups who came very early and cheerfully took part in every activities.
The main activities in the Taiwan Market included the food vendors that introduced the Taiwanese products and authentic Taiwanese dishes or Taiwanese style dishes, stage performances, and physical activities where visitors could experience the 2 popular sports - football and baseball.
The Taiwanese vendors brought the taste of their homeland to this city with dishes like buns, beef noodles, stinky tofu, tea eggs, roasted duck,... and of course, the sweetness of Taiwanese milk tea.
Moreover, the families got to attend the trial classes in Viet Hoa International School, and experienced the school environment, the education model, and the facilities with their kids.
The most expected part of the event was the lucky draw that featured the special prizes of air tickets to Taipei and other prizes from the sponsors.
Along with the growth of foreign enterprises in Binh Duong, the community of Chinese and Taiwanese has became one of the strongest and most crowded communities in the province. The organization of community events like this would be not only the occasion for people to get together, but also a bridge for the local to get to know more about the culture and customs of the Taiwanese generation who are living and working in Binh Duong.
