From brainstorming ideas, budgeting, coordinating with partners and contractors, working with tenants, to overseeing every detail of logistics, technical setup, and communications… each event is a race against time that demands flexible adaptation.

Without relying on outsourced teams for every program, they are the ones who directly turn plans into reality. More than anyone, they understand the residents of TOKYU Garden City.
They don’t just work here, they live here. They know every space, understand the community’s needs, and from that, create events that are tailored, meaningful, and close to the residents. They don’t simply “run a program”, they create memories.

When asked: “What moment do you remember most when running an event?” each of them had their own story to tell.

For an event planner, the best moment is when ideas on paper come to life. Of course, not every detail remains the same as in the beginning, there are adjustments for budget, staff, or even the weather. But when the event takes place and is warmly welcomed by residents and guests, I realize that those positive changes were necessary to make the event more complete.

As the person in charge of visuals, I’m lucky to capture the emotions and colors of every event. It could be a child’s smile among dazzling bubbles, a family relaxing to live music, or the explosive joy of a thrilling football goal. With each shot, I piece together the colorful portrait of this city.

In every event, our goal is to connect different partners to bring diverse experiences to residents and customers. In the role of a ‘connector,’ I have to balance tenant benefits with the consistency of the program. When the event ends and I see customers leaving satisfied, I realize the value of this work: not just connecting but accompanying both tenants and organizers so that everyone achieves their goals. That’s the ‘win-win’ spirit I always aim for.

My most memorable moment was standing in a corner of Hikari, watching guests smiling, chatting, and participating enthusiastically in the event. Everything; sound, lights, booths, staff; was running smoothly as planned. After so many days of preparation, that was the moment I knew all our efforts had paid off. We didn’t just organize an event; we created an experience that made people want to return.

I remember once, just before a performance, the LED screen suddenly went black. It was quite tense, but thankfully, the MC quickly engaged the audience, giving me time to fix it. Within five minutes, the screen lit up again and the program went on. I felt relieved and more appreciative of the smooth teamwork that kept the event flowing.

An event may last only a few hours, but the preparation usually begins months in advance.
From brainstorming sessions, budgeting, space design, working with partners and tenants, to site inspections, stage rehearsals and technical checks, everything is carefully planned to ensure a seamless experience on the big day.

Yet, event organization always means preparing for the unexpected: adjusting plans due to weather, revising content based on delivery schedules or making last-minute tweaks to improve the show. In those moments, the team’s composure, initiative and experience shine brightly.

No one can count how many after-hours work sessions or how many last-minute details are checked - everything is done to ensure that once the program begins, everything flows smoothly, in rhythm and full of emotion.
