At SORA gardens SC, which BECAMEX TOKYU CO., LTD (hereinafter referred to as “BECAMEX TOKYU”) - a subsidiary of TOKYU CORPORATION, opened on July 2, 2023, as the first shopping center in Binh Duong New City, Vietnam will open its new stores.

 With the concept of “Coloring your life”, its tenants include brands from Japan such as AEON, kidzooona, mollyfantasy, KOHNAN JAPAN, ABC-MART. After its opening, we have more than 1.2 million visitors, and many people living outside of Binh Duong New City have visited SORA gardens SC.

Moreover, this winter, NITORI will open its first store in Vietnam at SORA gardens SC. NITORI is a specialty furniture and interior store that operates in Japan and overseas. NITORI is expanding its stores to the Asia, opening its first stores in Malaysia and Singapore in 2022, and in Thailand in August this year. As part of its expansion, in recognition of the viability of Binh Duong Province and its large market, NITORI’s first store in Vietnam will open at SORA gardens SC. With an area of approximately 1,600 m2, it has a lineup of 4,000 items including core products such as kitchen goods, bedding, sofas, and beds.

In addition, UNIQLO opened on October 20, and MUJI is scheduled to open this winter.

Moreover, SORA gardens SC has an outdoor event square with a large LED screen where we hold events that visitors can enjoy. In addition to a tree-planting festival held when SORA gardens SC opened, we hold recurring events every last Saturday of the month to attract the local community. In addition, we are planning many attractive events collaborating with local communities and tenants aiming to create SORA gardens SC that more and more customers can enjoy.

New stores will open at SORA gardens SC - the first shopping center in Binh Duong New City, along with NITORI's first store in Vietnam

BECAMEX TOKYU CO., LTD. (mentioned below as “BECAMEX TOKYU”) - a subsidiary of TOKYU CORPORATION (mentioned below as “TOKYU”) started construction on the sixth luxury condominium project called “MIDORI PARK The TEN” (mentioned below as “the Project”) in Binh Duong province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in Binh Duong New City from December 2023. 

This Project is a 10-story condominium with a total of 300 units and is expected to be completed and handed over in the fall of 2025. With the concept of “spacious, elegance and sophistication of high-end living space, filled with rich natural connections”, it has the most luxurious design and a variety of common facilities of all the condominiums that BECAMEX TOKYU has built to date. The average area of a unit is about 110m2 and the ceiling is 3.5m high, ensuring a spacious space for the residents. In addition, on the 3rd floor of the common facilities area, BECAMEX TOKYU plans to incorporate a 50m infinity pool, gym, BBQ garden, and a large children's play area. Particularly noteworthy, the developer plans to introduce an Onsen bathing pool (hot bathing pool) to serve residents in the common facility, making the first luxury apartment project in Binh Duong to provide this facility.

Binh Duong is one of the largest cities in Vietnam with a population of 2.8 million people, located adjacent to the northern part of Ho Chi Minh City. Binh Duong actively attracts foreign investment into Vietnam and is placed second with more than 4,200 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, after Ho Chi Minh City. It is expected that the population will continue to grow due to the increase in factories in industrial zones.

During 11 years since 2012, BECAMEX TOKYU leveraged the know-how accumulated by TOKYU through the development of “TOKYU Tama Garden City” to develop the urban project “TOKYU GARDEN CITY” in Binh Duong New City (total area of about 1,000 ha) based on the localization. Until now, we have developed 5 residential projects (※), 4 commercial zones, attracted schools and medical institutions, and constructed a transport system by operating public bus routes, to make it a fully functional urban, BECAMEX TOKYU also organized several culture festivals, events to create vibrancy in the city.

BECAMEX TOKYU STARTS CONSTRUCTION OF THE 6TH LUXURY CONDOMINIUM PROJECT NAMED “MIDORI PARK The TEN” IN BINH DUONG PROVINCE, VIETNAM

This morning, at the football field system within the SORA gardens Links Complex, the opening ceremony of the National Workers' Football Championship 2023 Finals took place. The event was attended by many important representatives, such as Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Binh Duong Province, along with many delegates and representatives from various media outlets.

The National Workers' Football Championship 2023 Finals are scheduled to take place from November 17 to November 19 at the Sora Gardens Links football field, with the participation of 8 teams that emerged as champions in the regional qualifying rounds. These teams include the Hai Phong Confederation, the Information and Communication Confederation, the Nghe An Confederation, the Saigon Water Supply Corporation (SAWACO) Confederation, the Quang Nam Confederation, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Confederation, the Kien Giang Confederation, and the Binh Duong Confederation.

In addition, during the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 3 motorcycles to workers facing difficult circumstances.

OPENING CEREMONY OF THE NATIONAL WORKERS' FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2023 FINALS

On October 26th in New York City, USA (early morning on October 27th, 2023, Vietnam time), the Smart City - Innovative Region of Binh Duong was officially honored by the ICF World Smart Communities Forum with the TOP 1 award for exemplary smart development strategies in 2023.

BECAMEX TOKYU licensed to conduct environmental activities for the MIDORI PARK The VIEW condominium project

On September 8th, an event series titled "Meeting Japan 2023" took place in Binh Duong province to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023). The events featured a range of meaningful and practical activities.

At the Binh Duong Conference and Exhibition Center (BCEC), the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Committee of Binh Duong province collaborated with the authorities of Yamaguchi prefecture in Japan to organize the "Meet Japan 2023" event., which included the celebration performances, the issuance of investment certificates and construction permits for Japanese enterprises, as well as the signing of cooperation agreements in various fields between Binh Duong and Japanese partners.

The event was attended by Mr. Yamada Takio - the Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam; Mr. Ono Masuo - the Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Van Loi -Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; along with provincial and local leaders, Japanese businesses in the province, and representatives from South East Vietnam's provinces (including Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Long An, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, and Ho Chi Minh City).

On the Japanese side, attendees included Mr. Muraoka Tsugumasa - Governor of Yamaguchi prefecture; Mr. Suzuki Keisuke - Deputy Head of the Research Division of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP); Mr. Sasaki Hajime - Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Policy Committee of Japan; and representatives from various departments and agencies of Yamaguchi prefecture.

Also in the event, BECAMEX TOKYU Co., Ltd was also honored to announce the SORA gardens III condominium project -  a part of the urban development project TOKYU Garden City, which the company is currently working on in Binh Duong New City.

Additionally, sideline activities such as the "Binh Duong Women with Japanese Culture" program, cultural exchange programs, Vietnamese-Japanese art and cuisine exchange, Vietnam-Japan youth exchange program, and the "Meet Japan 2023 in TOKYU Garden City" festival all contributed significantly to the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

"Meet Japan 2023" in Binh Duong - Many events held in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Japan 

"Inno Vietnam - Japan Fast Track Pitch 2023" aims to connect major corporations and businesses in Vietnam and Japan with innovative startups and technology-driven enterprises in Japan and the Southeast Asia region.

On August 29, 2023, the National Innovation Center (NIC) collaborated with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam to jointly announce the program "Inno Vietnam - Japan Fast Track Pitch 2023."

This program, held for the first time in Vietnam, is expected to become an annual event as part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) of Vietnam and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) of Japan, marking the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam - Japan friendship and cooperation.

Connecting major corporation of Vietnam - Japan with startup, innovative enterprises  

The program aims to foster collaboration between companies with challenges and those proposing solutions to promote the exchange of knowledge and enhance the effective application of achievements from the Fourth Industrial Revolution and innovation activities open in Vietnam.

It is also a great opportunity for innovative companies and startups to showcase their products and solutions to potential large clients. Particularly outstanding products and solutions will have the chance to receive support and future investment from challenge-owning companies, with the goal of expanding into global markets and participating in the global value chain.

The program is expected to become an annual event.

This year's program involves the participation of six major corporations and companies with challenges. The organizers have worked with these entities to present intriguing challenge statements that attract not only the interest of challenge-owning companies but also the general public. VinGroup, a diversified conglomerate in Vietnam, has issued a challenge related to "Optimizing the value of used/expired electric vehicle batteries in the circular economy."

Mobile Services Corporation, a company operating in the financial technology sector, known for its mobile payment application MoMo wallet, has put forth a challenge related to "Promoting comprehensive finance for Vietnamese individuals."

Another challenge-owning company from Vietnam is FPT IS. The corporation has presented two challenges related to "Cross-border carbon credit management and trading platform" and "AI-powered virtual assistant for legal information retrieval across various sectors."

Money Forward, Japan's largest financial technology corporation, has challenge statements revolving around "Collaboration and expansion to rationalize B2B SaaS or Fintech solutions."

Lastly, the Fujikin Da Nang Research, Development, and Production Center, as a challenge-owning company, has presented a challenge related to "Developing software utilizing AI technology."

Furthermore, SORA gardens SC is equipped with a "high-efficiency water-cooled screw chiller" and "dimming-type high-efficiency LED lighting" as environmental initiatives, which is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 700 tons annually. This initiative has been recognized as an excellent use of decarbonization technology and has been chosen for the Japan Ministry of the Environment's 2021 Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) financial support project for equipment assistance (*).

BECAMEX TOKYU is expecting to complete the condominium project “MIDORI PARK The GLORY” in 2024, as well as cooperate with our subsidiary BECAMEX TOKYU BUS to open more new routes connecting the surrounding areas with Binh Duong New City in March 2023, and planning to open a route which connects to Ho Chi Minh City. (*) Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) is a system to cooperate with developing countries for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by utilizing superior decarbonization technology, etc., and measures, reports, and verifies (MRV). The purpose of this is to contribute to the achievement of greenhouse gas emission  reduction targets in Japan and partner countries through the JCM, along with the reduction of greenhouse gases in developing countries. Subsidies will be provided  up to 1/2 of the initial investment costs for advanced decarbonization technologies. This project is being practiced under the cooperation of the two Governments  of Vietnam and Japan

BECAMEX TOKYU Co., Ltd. and AEON Vietnam Co., Ltd. host a Tree Planting ceremony with the concept “Hometown Forest” at SORA gardens SC (Shopping Center) in Binh Duong New City on July 7th, 2023. This is considered an event to welcome SORA gardens SC (Shopping Center) and AEON Binh Duong New City “Super Supermarket, hereinafter referred to as SSM” concept (the strategy partnership) to the official opening expected at the end of July 2023. It is also a special activity on the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Japan.  

The Tree Planting Ceremony “Hometown Forest” welcomes more than 300 participants including leaders of government departments and authorities of Vietnam and Japan, as well as leaders and members of BECAMEX TOKYU and AEON Vietnam, and especially local people.  

The Tree Planting Ceremony “Hometown Forest” is considered a bridge between BECAMEX TOKYU, AEON Vietnam and the local communities in which we are located; so, to join hands with local people to create a sustainable future. This is also a traditional activity of AEON under the pillar of Environmentally Sustainable Development and is the first greeting that AEON sends to local people before opening a new shopping center.  

At the ceremony, participants plant more than 1340 trees from 25 variety of plants from woods to shrubs and flowers, which are carefully selected to be equivalent with local ground. The event not only aims at the goal of joining hands to build a fresh living space and green landscapes for now and in the future; but also contributes to promoting and preserving the biodiversity of the living environment in the New City, from which local people can enjoy when visiting and shopping at SORA gardens SC.

BECAMEX TOKYU and AEON Vetnam celebrate a tree planting ceremony   “Hometown Forest” at SORA gardens SC  

On June 17, BECAMEX TOKYU opened the complex "SORA gardens Links" in Binh Duong New City, Binh Duong's southern province. The complex includes Vietnam's first covered football field, a skate park, a community garden, a baseball field, and shophouses. Kawasaki Frontale is using this facility to organize events and run the Kawasaki Frontale Football School project (the basic agreement was signed in May 2021).

Football is a popular sport in Vietnam, enjoyed by people of all ages. However, the hot weather typical of Southeast Asia and the half-year rainy season poses significant challenges. We will make people in Binh Duong New City smile more by using a covered football field to solve these problems.

It is hoped that the players who have grown up on this football field will go on to become professional players in Vietnam. In addition to its intended use for Kawasaki Frontale School students, it will be used for a variety of purposes such as public rental, futsal tournaments, and the popular 7-a-side football game in Vietnam.

On Saturday, June 17, many important figures from Japan and Vietnam attended the Opening ceremony. In addition, a "Sports Festival" was held immediately following the opening ceremony, with the assistance of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). The festival has created a playground for Vietnamese children to experience many different sports for free, approximately more than 1,000 people from Binh Duong New City and surrounding areas have participated in response to the event.

The shop area of SORA gardens Links will now receive tenants in turn, making this area more convenient and fun for both residents of SORA gardens and frequent visitors.

From now on, Kawasaki Frontale and BECAMEX TOKYU will strengthen our cooperation in Vietnam by using the SORA gardens Links football field, and we plan to carry out numerous community-related projects and events!

Through four seasons, with hundreds of exciting matches, the 5th edition of the Vietnam-Japan International Youth Football Tournament is officially making a comeback, promising to bring many new and spectacular elements along with the participation of 12 teams from Vietnam, Japan, and Malaysia. With over 120 talented young strikers, the tournament is expected to deliver high-level matches accompanied by a vibrant and passionate sporting atmosphere.

This event also serves as an opportunity for cultural exchange in football, the training of young national team players, the development of football in both countries, and the introduction of Japanese football to the people of Vietnam. Additionally, it marks the 50th anniversary of the friendly cooperation between Japan and ASEAN.

With the purpose of celebrating Vietnamese Women's Day (20th October), as well as creating a beneficial platform, enhancing creative abilities, and fostering solidarity and learning spirit among departments members of the company, BECAMEX TOKYU Co., Ltd’s Union organized a flower arrangement contest on 19th October's morning at SORA gardens Links Sports Field.

In the 60 minutes of the competition, the teams optimized their elegance and creativity through their bouquets under the theme "Vietnamese Women".

BECAMEX TOKYU Co., Ltd’s Union organized the Flower Arrangement Contest to Celebrate Vietnamese

Established in November 2021, the Kawasaki Frontale Football School is a football training facility established by the Kawasaki Frontale Football Club, the reigning champions of the J-League in Japan, in cooperation with BECAMEX TOKYU Co., Ltd. It is located in Binh Duong New City and aims to discover and nurture children and adults with a talent and passion for football.

Entering its second year, the Kawasaki Frontale Football School provides a comprehensive sports training and physical development environment for children and teenagers aged 5-15 and adults. In addition to the usual classes held from Monday to Friday, the school also plans to introduce classes on Fridays and Saturday mornings starting from November 2023.

The Kawasaki Frontale Football School is launching new classes and offering discount vouchers in celebration of its 2nd anniversary!

On September 29, 2023, there were a Mid-Autumn Festival event hosted at two commercial facilities of TOKYU Garden City - Hikari Area and SORA gardens SC, with the desire to bring memorable and warm moments to children and families during the traditional family reunion season.

Following the annual tradition, both venues hosted the event with colorful decorations, lion dance performances, lantern parades, lively stage programs, and entertainment workshops for families, and attracting more than 3,000 and 5,000 attendees respectively.

The children painted their own adorable lanterns, dressed themselves into characters like Lady Hằng and Mr. Cuội, participated in prize-winning riddles, and enjoyed lively stage activities. They received lovely gifts, joined lantern parades, watched lion dances, and had fun with their friends!

Recently, the Community Garden organized a meaningful and memorable activity for the students of the Kawasaki Frontale Football school. The children had direct contact with nature, instilling in them a deep appreciation for the value of the environment. The little ones experienced a day as farmers, digging the soil, planting seeds, and growing vegetables.

Every day, the "little farmers" would water their vegetable beds with their own hands and eagerly await the harvest day.
The residents have also harvested their first baskets of fresh vegetables to take home."
