Becamex Tokyu received the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit for contribution to economic development as FDI

On October 4, 1818, the 30th anniversary of attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam took place at the My Dinh National Convention Center. BECAMEX TOKYU has received this honor from the Ministry of Investment for its contribution to the economic development of Vietnam.

With the theme “30 years of attracting foreign investment in Vietnam – new vision and opportunities in the new era”, the conference attracted the participation of over 2,500 delegates who are leaders of ministries, local; Diplomatic missions; Business associations, business support agencies, international organizations; Business community, domestic and foreign investors; Investment funds, banks, investment consultancy companies; Economic experts, research institutions; Newspaper agencies.

Binh Duong Province in general and Becamex Tokyu Company in particular are honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. As the only unit representing Southern provinces, Binh Duong expresses the achievements and successes of FDI attraction.

Binh Duong and the whole of Vietnam have shown a strong development through the attraction of FDI. Looking at specific figures, in 2014 the total registered capital reached 20.23 billion VND, total realized capital of 12.35 billion VND. These numbers continue to increase steadily for the next three years and by 2017 set a record with a total registered capital of 35.88 billion VND and a total operating capital of 17.5 billion VND.

Till now, thousands of investment license have been granted to overseas investors as FDI, but at the same time, there are many opportunities and challenges for an economy with increasing openness like Vietnam.
