CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE 6TH VIETNAM – JAPAN U13 INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

After more than 4 days of exciting competition with many thrilling and dramatic moments from the young players, the Vietnam – Japan U13 International Youth Football Tournament officially concluded, offering the audience a wide range of enthusiastic and exciting emotions.

Attending the closing ceremony were:

  • Mr. Furudate Seiki, Deputy Consul General – Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Mr. Bùi Hữu Toàn, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Binh Duong Province.
  • Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hùng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex IDC Corporation.
  • Mr. Oh Dongkun, General Director of Becamex Tokyu Co., Ltd.

Along with many other delegates, business leaders, and partners.

This year's tournament brought together 12 teams from Vietnam, Japan, and Malaysia and took place from December 12 to 15, 2024. After spirited matches, the final results were as follows:

  • Third Place: Hanoi FC
  • Second Place: FC Tokyo
  • Champion: Becamex Binh Duong

In addition, the organizers awarded the following individual titles:

  • Top Scorer and Best Player: Trương Tuấn Bảo from Becamex Binh Duong
  • Best Goalkeeper: Trần Gia Huy from Becamex Binh Duong

The Vietnam – Japan All-Star match was also held during the ceremony, featuring intense action and fierce competition between players of both teams. The match ended with a score of 3-1 in favor of the Vietnam team.

According to the audience, this year's tournament was professionally organized, with noticeably improved technical quality. It is hoped that tournaments like this will serve as a springboard for young players to develop further and help coaches and teams make more strategic investments in the future generations of football talent in each country.
