Establishing Terakoya training Center of Japanese language and mathematics in Binh Duong province

The signing ceremony of cooperation for establishing Terakoya training Center of Japanese language and mathematics took place on 30th August 2013 at Lucky Square Conference Center in Binh Duong New City. Terakoya center has been established by Becamex IDC Corporation and the Eastern International University (EIU) in collaboration with educational group YIC of Yamaguchi Prefecture in Japan.

Terakoya Center, locates at the 7th floor of Becamex Tower, plans to open the first training session on the coming October 1st 2013. During the starting period of time, the Center will train mathematics for children using Japanese methods, and Japanese Language training programs from beginner to advanced levels.

By applying test applications of Japanese Mathematical Testing Association, which collaborates with Educational Group YIC, the Center not only teaches mathematics but also develops abilities of logical thinking and application for children from preschool to elementary school. By using mathematics teaching methods in Japanese mode, Terakoya center will make a differentiation compared to other training centers in Binh Duong province.

For Japanese language programs, Japanese teachers will teach these classes. Terakoya Center is the first center in Binh Duong province that has Japanese native teachers. In addition, the Center has policies supporting students of the Eastern International University (EIU) and students of the Center, who want to study overseas in Japan.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Koji Imoto, Chairman of YIC group shared that “The biggest goal of the center is to devote to the development of Binh Duong province through Japanese language training to better meet the demands of the Japanese companies planning to invest in Vietnam.”
