OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 7TH VIETNAM - JAPAN U13 INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
On the afternoon of December 18, 2025, the Opening Ceremony of the 7th Vietnam -Japan U13 International Youth Football Tournament took place at SORA gardens Links Football Field.
The tournament brings together 12 youth teams from Japan, Viet Nam and Singapore.
Japanese representatives include Shimizu S-Pulse Mishima, Vanraure Hachinohe, Vegalta Sendai, Kawasaki Frontale Todoroki and Kawasaki Frontale Ikuta.
Albirex Niigata Singapore represents Singapore.
Viet Nam is represented by Hanoi FC, Dong Thap FC, An Giang FC, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City Sports Training Center and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City FC.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. ITO Naoki - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Viet Nam, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Standing Member of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Mr. Akihiro Yoshida - Chairman of Kawasaki Frontale, Mr. Kaneda Hiroki-General Director of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company; along with representatives from local authorities, team officials, coaches, and players.
On the opening day, the tournament kicked off with the first match between Becamex Ho Chi Minh City FC and Kawasaki Frontale Todoroki, which ended in a narrow 3-2 victory for Becamex Ho Chi Minh City FC, officially launching the competitive journey of the 2025 season.
The tournament will take place from December 18 to December 21, 2025, at Binh Duong New City Football Field.
The 7th season is expected to deliver exciting matches, where passion, determination, and friendship are expressed through every play on the pitch.
About Vietnam - Japan U13 International Youth Football Tournament
Initiated in 2018, the tournament is one of the key international sports exchange activities between Viet Nam and Japan. It aims to provide a professional playing environment for U13 youth players, while fostering cultural and sporting exchange among countries in the region.
After 6 successful editions, Vietnam - Japan U13 Tournament has gradually established itself as a meaningful bridge of friendship between the two countries through football. Many players who participated in previous seasons have gone on to join professional football academies and national youth teams.
With thorough preparation and an expanding scale, the 7th Vietnam-Japan U13 International Youth Football Tournament is expected to continue making a positive impact, contributing to youth football development and reinforcing Binh Duong New City as a destination for international sports and cultural exchange events.
