THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 5TH U13 INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CUP VIETNAM-JAPAN 2023
On the afternoon of December 14th (Thursday), the Opening Ceremony of the 5th U13 International Youth Cup Vietnam-Japan 2023 was held at SORA gardens Links Sports Field in Binh Duong New City.
This 5th season was organized on the largest scale ever, with the participation of 12 teams, including 7 Vietnamese teams: Becamex Binh Duong FC, Hanoi FC, Hue FC, Binh Phuoc FC, Dong Thap FC, Phu Nhuan – Ho Chi Minh City, and PVF; and 4 U-13 teams from Japan: KAWASAKI FRONTALE FC, Yokohama FC Tsurumi, Kataller Toyama, Shimizu S-pulse, and especially the guest team, FELDA Football Academy from Malaysia, commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, as well as the 50th anniversary of friendship between Japan and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The ceremony welcomed Mr. Yamada Takio - the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province, as well as representatives of various departments, leaders of Becamex IDC Corporation, and delegates, team leaders, coaches, athletes from young football teams in Vietnam, Japan, and Malaysia.
The tournament will take place over 4 days from December 14th to December 17th, 2023, at the Binh Duong New City Sports Field.
Especially, the All-star match featuring selected players from participating teams will be held on the last day of the tournament (December 17th) and will be broadcast live on VTV5 channel, relaying on BTV2 from 14:30-15:30.
All matches will be livestreamed on the Facebook page Giải bóng đá thiếu niên quốc tế U13 Việt Nam-Nhật Bản.
The 5th season promises to bring exciting matches for football fans of both countries. From this tournament, Vietnam and the participating nations can identify potential talents for their country's national teams in the future.
