TOKYU Group and Binh Duong Join Hands for a Future Urban Region

On the morning of June 17, 2025, leaders of the People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province held a working session with TOKYU Group (Japan) led by Mr. Hirohisa Fujiwara, Permanent Board Member and International Business Director of Tokyu Group, regarding the progress of research on the urban light rail (LRT) line in Binh Duong. The delegation was also joined by representatives from various departments and agencies.

When studying the planning of the LRT line, considering synchronized TOD (Transit Oriented Development) is also important. The LRT line will contribute to enhancing connectivity and attractiveness throughout the Binh Duong New City urban area, while also improving the connection between residential areas, schools, workplaces, shopping centers, and providing high compatibility with large-scale urban development...

Speaking at the reception and meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Bui Minh Tri highly appreciated the collaboration between TOKYU Group Japan and BECAMEX IDC Corporation through the BECAMEX TOKYU joint venture. Not only have they developed high-quality residential and commercial projects, but they have also partnered in strategic infrastructure initiatives to help transform Binh Duong New City into a modern, vibrant, and most livable development hub in the Southern region.

The LRT light rail project is a step reflecting a long-term vision, not only promoting green transport infrastructure but also preparing for the trend of expansion and regional integration of southern urban areas, especially with a future administrative merger in mind.
