On July 1, 2025, Becamex Tokyu Bus Co., Ltd. officially put the Purple Bus Route 61-77 into operation, marking an important milestone in the expansion of the public transportation network between Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong Province after the two localities merged.
Seamless Connections Between Key Urban Areas
Route 61-77 offers a convenient and fast journey, shortening the distance between the two urban centers and major destinations:
- Direct connection from Binh Duong New City to the New Eastern Bus Station
- Passes through major urban areas and universities, notably the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City area
- Integrated with Metro Line 1 at Suoi Tien Station, making it easy for passengers to transfer to the metro system
Two Routes to Suit Different Travel Needs
Route 61-77 is designed with two flexible branches, catering to a wide range of passenger travel purposes:
61-77A (Long Route)
- Route: Hikari Bus Terminal ↔ GO! Di An ↔ New Eastern Bus Station
- Frequency: 17 trips/day
- Hikari → New Eastern Bus Station: 8 trips/day
- Return direction: 9 trips/day
- Travel time: Approximately 90 minutes/trip
61-77B (Short Route)
- Route: GO! Di An ↔ New Eastern Bus Station
- Frequency: 8 trips/day (4 trips each direction)
- Travel time: Approximately 20 minutes/trip
