Hikari Expansion and the pavilion of PIZZA 4P's awarded in the Green GOOD DESIGNS Sustainability Awards 2023

Being designed by the talented Japanese architectural firm Takashi Niwa Architects with a unique design and the vision of sustainability, the expanded area of Hikari has received positive acknowledgments from experts as well as reliable awards in Vietnam and overseas in the fields of design, architecture, urban planning, or environment.

Just recently, Hikari Expansion won the Green Urban Planning/Landscape Architecture 2023 category of the international design award "Green GOOD DESIGN Sustainability Awards 2023" for its brilliant design and sustainable concept.

Green GOOD DESIGN Sustainability Awards' goal is to bestow international recognition to those outstanding individuals, companies, organizations, governments, and institutions - together with their products, services, programs, ideas, and concepts that have forwarded exceptional thinking and inspired greater progress toward a healthier and more sustainable universe.

Hikari Expansion is a complex for 15 F&B brands integrating tenants, event space, observation deck, kids playground, public fountain, a huge lake, and a beautiful leveraged landscape mixing with an edible garden, constructed in the center of Binh Duong New City, Vietnam.

Through the Complex’s concept, 'Made to Enlighten', Takashi Niwa Architects and BECAMEX TOKYU would like to show an example of the meaningful environmental approach in the new city center. The main challenges are composting for food waste, aquaponics, and edible garden. With a green abundant landscape, Hikari Complex will become an edu-tainment space (educational space with entertainment), where many people gather, and will be the best place to introduce sustainable approaches and ideas. Hikari will lead the city to the next level of a sustainable smart city.

In addition to Hikari, also in this awards, the "Eco-cycle Pavillion for Pizza 4P's Binh Duong" was named among the Green Architecture 2023's winners, for its sustainability and educational features shown in every detail, in the space design, the operation, and the utilization of recycled items.
