Press conference of Becamex Binh Duong FC and Kawasaki Frontale FC Friendly Match
On the morning of October 18, the press conference of Becamex Binh Duong FC & Kawasaki Frontale FC Friendly Match was held at HÔTEL du PARC Hanoi, in order to release the official information on this significant event.
In celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations in 2023, the board of organization of the Becamex Binh Duong FC & Kawasaki Frontale FC Friendly Match (including Kawasaki Frontale, Becamex Binh Duong FC, Becamex IDC Corp, Becamex Tokyu, Brain Group) is organizing a friendly match between the strongest members of Becamex Binh Duong FC and Kawasaki Frontale FC in Binh Duong on November 20, 2022.
The match is considered the first among the series of events that celebrate the relationship between the 2 nations, aiming to promote a friendly relationship through football activities. The event is sponsored by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, Binh Duong’s People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Football League.
The press conference welcomed the participation of Mr. Yamada Takio - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam (as the Match's Honorable Consultant), Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Vice Chairman of Binh Duong's People's Committee, Mr. Dang Ha Viet - the General Director of the General Department of Sports, Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Yoshida Akihiro - President of Kawasaki Frontale FC - Chief of Organization Japanese side, Mr. Ho Hong Thach - President of Becamex Binh Duong FC, and leaders/members of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, General Department of Sports, Vietnam Football Federation, and sponsors.
This event being able to be held is thanked to the efforts of the organization's partners, and the support from the two nation's governments, Japan Football Association, J-League, Vietnam Football Federation, V-League, Becamex IDC Corp, and many Japanese companies based in Vietnam.
The friendly match would be where the strongest team, with the ace players of the two nations, have the chance to compete and practice, and breakthrough from Asia to the world. The organizers hope that this match may become a symbol of Vietnam and Japan's close relationship, not only in 50 years but also look forward to the 100th anniversary of the two countries in the future.
Earlier to this match, in 2013, Becamex Binh Duong and Kawasaki Frontale also competed in a friendly match in the Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City in Binh Duong. Since then, the two football clubs have cooperated in several exchange activities in many fields in order to encourage sportsmanship spirit, physical development, and efforts of young talents of Japan and Vietnam, among which is the annual championship U-13 International Youth Cup Vietnam-Japan held in Binh Duong New City.
This friendly match is to be held on November 20 at Go Dau Stadium, Binh Duong, and will be open to the public for the audiences to attend for free.
