Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Becamex IDC and NTT EAST
On March 26th2018, NTT EAST, a leading corporation in Japan in the field of telecommunications and information technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Becamex IDC Corp., a top Vietnamese infrastructure, industrial and urban planning and development company. This contract’s purpose is to explore business feasibility of mutual development of smart city in Vietnam, which starts in Binh Duong New City.
Smart City is now widely applied in many cities around the world and has achieved great successful. However, Smart City developing in Vietnam has to face many difficulties. The biggest problems is that infrastructure construction has not kept up with the pace of urbanization, productivity and quality of labor is low, … However, Binh Duong New City has all the bases to overcome these difficulties. The main reason is that the physical infrastructure is built at the same time as the foundation of the architecture and the infrastructure for information and communication technology. This is to ensure that organizations and individuals inside and outside Vietnam can easily participate in the texploitation and operation of the telecommunication and information infrastructure.
In addition, in the Binh Duong New City, urban development is also carried out by BECAMEX TOKYU (a joint venture between BECAMEX IDC and TOKYU CORPORATION of Japan) for the construction of Binh Duong New City to become one of the most modern and beautiful cities in Vietnam. When joining NTT EAST through NTT Vietnam, NTT EAST together with Becamex IDC, Vietnam Technology and Communications Corporation (VNTT), promise to provide high quality services on telecommunications and technology to customers in industrial parks and townships invested by Becamex and VSIP in Binh Duong and other cities in the country.
